Good to know about the Miniature American Shepherd
Temperament and family life
Clever, alert and very close to its people. It learns fast and loves working with its family. With consistent, positive training it is a balanced, attentive companion, at home too.
Activity and aptitudes
It has a shepherd’s energy in a compact body: it needs activity and mental work every day. It enjoys agility, obedience and scent games.
Daily care
Regular brushing of its double coat, more often while shedding. Thanks to its size it adapts better to flat living, as long as it gets long walks and daily stimulation.
Health and prevention
A healthy weight, regular exercise and mental stimulation, together with routine checks of ears and eyes, all contribute to its wellbeing.
