Ikal Black is a kennel specialised in Australian Shepherds and Miniature American Shepherds. We select every dog for its genetics, its conformation and its temperament, to breed balanced, healthy shepherds with real aptitude for sport and work.

How we select
What the puppies inherit depends on how the adults are selected.
Genetics
We work with carefully selected lines and sound genetics, so every litter keeps the qualities of the breed.
Conformation and structure
We look for dogs that meet their breed standard: structure, proportions, angulation and balanced movement.
Temperament
We choose balanced, attentive dogs that are keen to work, because character is inherited too.
